THE KNOWING

Tumbling weightless through

Space

Space

Space

Space down the dark corridors

No peek of light , Open your eyes wide, Squeeze them tight

It’s the same, same darkness

Sock footed scuffling steps

Through the dark so not to stumble

Are we floating or scuffling?

Shuffling or floating?

Wanting to feel a form in the darkness

And terrified of feeling something

Vast galaxies envelop, Into a pea sized infinity

Lodging itself in my chest

A bullet hole the size of a pin

So small and invisible , Yet so insidious it festers

Under the perfect porcelain veil

It is the portal to the truth, The darkness is the path

Find form in the void, Shuffle if you must

But trust that the floor is even and smooth

Float if you must, But know the dark corridor surrounds you

It will lead to the knowing

When you are ready

Only when you are ready

LIGHT THE FIRE ANYWAY

I want to sit at a table with you Eating toast and jam Sun cracking through the veil of fireplace smoke

REGRETS

Shards of what could have been Land on the capsule of what is And sting as they pluck at the eyebrows of the soul
